Digital marketing is the user of modern technologies to reach prospective customers. This includes email marketing, social marketing, search engine marketing, and of course, web marketing in general, as in everything you do on your own website. We forgot to include content marketing in the list!
A lot of the different segments of digital marketing overlap and work together. Sometimes it can become confusing for business owners and managers to distinguish different parts of their digital marketing. Clearly digital marketing is a broad field, which is why it’s good to start with an overview of the landscape but then being to dissect and study it in it’s different forms.
Digital marketing is of course on the rise and quickly carving into traditional forms of marketing as these modern methods gain prominence.
